Back in Shanghai (once again)

Weather: Rainy
Mood: Relax

My one month vacation in Singapore passed like lightning. It was really nice that I got to meet up with my family and friends. And for those whom I didn't get to meet, at least I took the time to catch up with them via phone. Although the world is getting smaller (with the invention of internet), the relationship ties between people seem to be getting thinner.

For the return trip, my mother and my mother-in-law decide to come back to Shanghai with us to stay for a month. Due to the old-age of my mother-in-law, we haven't been venturing out much. Most of the time, I keep them "entertained" at home. :P

As always,
my hubby was back to his busy working schedule. While my gal has already returned to school yesterday, my boy is still waiting for his school re-open. My gal has joined a new class, but fortunately, she has 2 old friends with her, and she is enjoying school very much. My boy will be going to Shanghai High for his elementary education. I hope he will also come to enjoy his new school.

Just before I end this post, I thought I should introduce you to a new happening place. Just prior to my departure from Singapore, my hubby and I went to check out St James Power Station. I had a wonderful time and I absolutely love the crowd, since they were relax and enjoying themselves. There are a few dance halls and I like especially Dragonfly. My hubby and I were lucky that although we arrived at 10.45pm on a Thursday, we still managed to get a table and we were delighted by a performance by the film crew of 881 (see pix below).
Anyway, Dragonfly tends to be very popular, so if you squeeze yourself past the crowd, the next best option is head for Movida. ;)

Last but not least, now that I'm back in Shanghai, I am having problem accessing this site again. Currently, I am writing via Blogger, but I have difficulty accessing Musings of a Shanghai Tai-Tai. Therefore I won't be blogging as much as I like since I couldn't see what I wrote. But still do check in once in a while since I would try my best to keep periodic update on my stay in Shanghai.

Quote from Boy, "I don't have money, but Daddy got money mah."

........ that's my boy's excuse when he wanted to buy something..... ~sigh~

Blogspot.com is obviously blocked by the great chinese firwall. You can access blogger.com, but blogspot - nope.
If you want to overcome this little spy-predicament of our chinese control addicted friends, you should visit this website:
www.witopia.net
Look for: Personal VPN
This is a tunneld connection, which ensures that nobody can trace where you´re "travelling" on the Internet.
Hope that help´s.
BTW: I also run a blog about my life in China, but it´s not very usefull for you, as it is in German...

Kind regards
